Overview
DriveBook is a business management platform built specifically for ADI-registered driving instructors in the UK. It replaces spreadsheets, paper diaries, and fragmented tools with a single, purpose-built solution.
The Problem
Driving instructors run small businesses with complex scheduling, invoicing, and student management needs. The tools available today are either generic (and don't fit the driving instruction model) or outdated (no mobile-first design, no automation).
DriveBook is being built by engineers who understand the domain — from ADI licensing requirements to the way lessons are structured and invoiced.
Planned Features
Lesson Booking
A smart calendar that accounts for lesson duration, travel time, and student location. Students can request lessons; instructors confirm. Reminders are sent automatically.
Student Management
A complete profile for each student — progress notes, test history, licence details, and communication log. All in one place, accessible on any device.
Invoice Generation
Automated invoice creation from completed lessons. Instructors can send invoices by email, track payment status, and generate reports for tax purposes.
Payment Tracking
Integration with payment providers for online payment. Overdue invoices trigger automatic follow-up reminders.
Roadmap
- Phase 1 (UK) — Core booking, student management, invoicing
- Phase 2 (UK) — Payment integration, reporting, mobile app
- Phase 3 (Australia) — Localisation for Australian licence frameworks
